Video gaming event at the Science Museum in London

The Science Museum in London will organise special, family-friendly summer holiday activities, a series of video gaming events called Power Up from 22 July to 7 August.

The fully interactive gaming events will give a taste of the best video games and consoles from the past 40 years, which is not only about gaming, of course, but also about society and the history of technology.

The programmes offer engagements for parents and children alike: the former can re-experience their favourite games from their own childhood, while the latter can see what their parents grew up with.

Beginners, experts, competitive parents, retro fans, and multiplayers alike can find what they are looking for. Visitors have a choice from Pong and Pac-Man, classics and new opuses to Lego and Halo.

The late night "adult only" section offers visitors to try their hands at games such as the Grand Theft Auto series, Call of Duty (Multiplayer Console LAN), Quake 3 (Multiplayer PC Lan), Left for Dead 1 and 2, Army of Two, Dead Rising 2, Alien Isolation or Dead Island.
